Pre-launch of the survey!

I am going to launch the online survey for Malaysian blog readers and bloggers latest by tomorrow morning. For now, feel free to have a sneak preview of the survey in Microsoft Word format and any comments would be very much appreciated.

The final survey will be in the form of an online form. It will rely on word-of-mouth for dissemination.

  • 1. too many compulsory questions will lead to loss of data if respondents are unwilling to answer all the Qs. Unless you plan to use all the compulsory Qs in some sort of combo multivariate analysis, its better to accept some loss of data than loss of sample.

    2. are all these questions necessary? The longer it takes to complete a questionnaire, the greater the loss chance of respondents failing to complete it.
e.g. Q7, is marital status a factor in blogging or reading?

  • u gotta be joking if u expect readers to answer the questions u posed.
there are also very leading questions posed which leads me to question what is this questionaire all about.

  • Shag: I suppose marital status isn't really important in this sense =P I just put it in as part of a standard demography data collection. The other compulsory questions have been vetted through for proving certain parts of the analysis. However, I will take your comment into consideration and review the questions again. Thanks!

Anonymous: It would be helpful if you could highlight which questions you feel were leading.

  • Q21-23 are leading questions. Probably could be rephrased to adopt a neutral tone.
